Scope
This standard specifies the method of elemental surface analysis using electron probe spectroscopy. The standard standardizes the selection of two modes of surface analysis: scanning the sample with a moving electron beam (electron beam surface analysis) and surface analysis with a moving sample stage (large-area surface analysis). It also provides five data processing methods: the raw X-ray intensity method, the K-value method, the correction curve method, the comparison method, and the matrix correction method.
