Scope

This standard applies to unencapsulated Class 1 multilayer ceramic fixed capacitors for surface mounting in electronic devices. These capacitors have metal connecting tabs or welding strips and are mainly used in printed circuit boards or directly installed on hybrid circuits. Electromagnetic interference suppression capacitors are not included in this sub-specification and are covered by the national standard GB/T14472—1998.
