Scope
This document establishes a standard system, objectives, and principles for long-term monitoring of biological communities in terrestrial ecosystems, and stipulates the setting and management of sampling plots, monitoring content, monitoring indicator systems, monitoring methods, and the content and quality control of monitoring data. This document is applicable to long-term ground-based monitoring of biological communities in forest, grassland, desert, wetland, and farmland ecosystems, but not applicable to inland water bodies and urban ecosystems.
