Scope

This document specifies the design, safety requirements, and verification methods for the connection device between non-rotating or rotating off-road telescopic forklifts (hereinafter referred to as "vehicles") and integrated personnel working platforms (hereinafter referred to as "integrated PWPs").
This document does not address the design or safety requirements related to the personnel working platforms themselves. These requirements are included in national and international standards for mobile lifting work platforms.
This document does not apply to non-integrated personnel working platforms, which do not have control devices installed that affect their mobility or interlock them with vehicles.
