Scope
This document specifies the requirements for fully enclosed electric motor compressors used in CO2 refrigerant heat pumps for household and similar applications (hereinafter referred to as "compressors"), describes the corresponding test methods, stipulates the inspection rules, marking, packaging, transportation, and storage requirements, and also provides product classification and defines related terms.
This document applies to the design, production, inspection, and sale of vapor-compression transcritical cycle compressors (including rotary compressors and scroll compressors) using R744 (CO2) as the refrigerant.
