Scope

This standard specifies the definitions, symbols, types, basic parameters, materials, design, manufacturing, test methods, inspection rules, marking, packaging, transportation, storage, and other requirements for welded insulated gas cylinders (hereinafter referred to as "gas cylinders").
This standard applies to upright gas cylinders that can be refilled, which are used in normal ambient temperatures (–40°C to 60°C), store media such as liquid oxygen, liquid nitrogen, liquid argon, carbon dioxide, and nitrous oxide at low temperatures, have a design temperature of not less than –196°C, a nominal volume of 10L to 450L, and an operating pressure of 0.2MPa to 3.5MPa.
