Scope

This standard specifies two accelerated corrosion test methods: Method A and Method B, for comparing and evaluating the corrosion resistance of metal materials with or without permanent or temporary corrosion protection in outdoor salt pollution/acid rain environments. The standard also specifies the test equipment. These two test methods include the cyclic exposure of samples to acidic salt spray and "dry" and "wet" test conditions.
