Scope
This standard specifies the method of measuring the abrasive wear and scratch resistance of rare earth polishing powders using a double-sided polishing machine.
This standard is applicable to the measurement of abrasive wear and scratch resistance of rare earth polishing powders mainly based on cerium. The measurement ranges are: abrasive wear 0.05 mg/(cm2·min) to 0.25 mg/(cm2·min), and scratch resistance 0% to 100%.
