Scope

This standard specifies two methods for determining the maximum count rate of AES and XPS spectrometers within the allowable linear discrete limits. It also includes methods for correcting non-linear intensity, so that these spectrometers can use higher maximum count rates. The correction formulas related to these spectrometers have been proven to be effective.
