Scope

This standard specifies the determination method of calcium and magnesium content in industrial circulating cooling water - atomic absorption spectrometry. This standard is applicable to the determination of calcium content in industrial circulating cooling water ranging from 0.5 mg/L to 75 mg/L, and magnesium content ranging from 0.1 mg/L to 50 mg/L. It is also applicable to the determination of calcium and magnesium content in various industrial waters, raw waters, and domestic waters. This standard is also applicable to the determination of calcium content in phosphorus-zinc pre-coating solution used in industrial circulating cooling water.
