Scope

This standard specifies the method for measuring the blue haze diffuse reflection factor (ISO brightness) of paper, cardboard, and pulp under indoor daylight conditions. This standard applies to white and near-white paper, cardboard, and pulp. When testing samples containing fluorescent whitening agents, the instrument's UV radiation energy level should be adjusted to match that of the CIE illuminant C using a fluorescent reference standard. The C light source has a certain proportion of UV content, which corresponds to indoor daylight conditions. Note: D65 brightness is tested by adjusting the instrument to comply with the CIE standard illuminant D65, which has a much higher UV content than that specified in this standard. The testing method for D65 brightness is standardized in GB/T 7974.
