Scope

This document specifies a field test method for determining the spray deposition amount and distribution on a flat area when a horizontal spray bar sprayer is spraying downward. This document allows for appropriate flexibility in the preparation of field trials, but stipulates standardized measurement procedures that can be used to compare the results of different field trials or to compare with laboratory tests, as described in ISO 56822 [1]. This document is not applicable to spray systems that rely on plant canopies for effective deposition (such as directional spraying, electrostatic spraying, ultra-fine mist spraying, and variable rate spraying). This document is not intended for regulatory purposes.
