Scope

This document specifies the environmental parameters and their severity ratings that the product may encounter during transportation and handling. The document considers the most commonly used transportation and handling methods, including the following: -- Road transport: cars, trucks; -- Rail transport: trains, trams; -- Water transport, inland and ocean transport: ships; -- Air transport: aircraft, jets, propeller planes, helicopters; -- Handling methods: cranes, transport elevators, aerial ropeways, manual handling; -- Conveyor belts; -- Hand carts. This document specifies the environmental conditions that the product may encounter during transportation and handling. If the product is packaged, the environmental conditions apply to the packaged product. If the product is not packaged, the environmental conditions apply to the product itself. The environmental conditions for storage are specified in IEC 6072131.
