Scope
This part of GB/T 8243 specifies the use of online particle counting methods to conduct multiple pass-through filtration tests under continuous injection of impurities to evaluate the performance of full-flow engine oil filters. The scope of this part is limited to steady-state conditions and situations without flow fluctuations. This part is applicable to determining the filter's dust holding capacity, particle removal characteristics, and differential pressure. It is suitable for filter elements with a filtration efficiency of less than 99% for particles larger than 10 μm.
