GB/T 8243.12-2007 Methods of test for full-flow lubricating oil filters for internal combustion engines—Part 12:Filtration efficiency using particle counting, and contaminant retention capacity
Basic Information
Scope
This part of GB/T 8243 specifies multiple pass-through filtration tests conducted using the online particle counting method under continuous ash addition conditions to evaluate the performance of full-flow oil filters for internal combustion engines. This test procedure is used to determine the filter's ash holding capacity, particle filtration performance, and differential pressure characteristics. This test is applicable to filter elements with a rated flow rate of 4 L/min to 1,600 L/min and a filtration efficiency of less than 99% for particles larger than 10 μm. Note: In order to cover the entire flow range from 4 L/min to 1,600 L/min, it is necessary to have several test flow rates available in one test device or to conduct the test using multiple test devices.
