Basic Information
Scope
This standard specifies the permissible limits of substances harmful to human health and the environment in original coatings, repair coatings, and component coatings for passenger cars, commercial vehicles, trailers, and automotive trains, as well as the testing methods, inspection rules, packaging markings, and other related content.
This standard applies to all types of automotive coatings except putty and special functional coatings.
Note: In this standard, special functional coatings refer to polypropylene substrate adhesion promoters (PP water), coatings primarily designed to prevent (resist) stone impact (excluding coatings with auxiliary stone impact resistance functions), and auxiliary materials used to eliminate traces at the junction of new and old paint films (seam water), etc.
