Scope
This standard specifies the design, manufacturing, inspection, and acceptance requirements for aluminum railway tank cars (i.e., those with pure aluminum and aluminum alloy materials for the shell of the tank body, the head, and the welded components thereon) with a saturated vapor pressure of the medium at the design temperature of less than 0.1 MPa. This standard applies to aluminum railway tank cars (hereinafter referred to as tank cars) used for transporting concentrated nitric acid, glacial acetic acid, ethylene glycol, hydrogen peroxide, acrylate, and similar media on the 1,435 mm standard gauge railway network.
