This standard specifies the terms and definitions for the determination of the rheological properties of crude oil, the preparation of crude oil samples, four methods for measuring the rheological properties of crude oil, and the content of test reports.
This standard is applicable to the determination of the rheological properties of crude oil by the rotating method, the thin-tube method, the porous medium method, and the falling-ball method.
