GB/T 1633-2025 Plastics—Thermoplastic materials—Determination of Vicat softerning temperature(VST)
Abstract
This document describes four methods for determining the Vicat softening temperature (VST) of thermoplastic materials: — Method A50: Load of 10 N, heating rate of 50 °C/h; — Method B50: Load of 50 N, heating rate of 50 °C/h; — Method A120: Load of 10 N, heating rate of 120 °C/h; — Method B120: Load of 50 N, heating rate of 120 °C/h. The four methods specified in this document are only applicable to thermoplastic plastics, and the measured temperature is the temperature at which thermoplastic plastics rapidly soften.
