Abstract
This document describes the methods for determining the phosphorus content in manganese-iron alloys, manganese-silicon alloys, manganese-iron nitrides, and metallic manganese using the molybdenum blue spectrophotometry and bismuth phosphomolybdenum blue spectrophotometry. This document is applicable to the determination of phosphorus content in manganese-iron alloys, manganese-silicon alloys, manganese-iron nitrides, and metallic manganese. The measurement range (mass fraction): 0.0030% to 0.650%. Method I: Molybdenum blue spectrophotometry, applicable to the determination of phosphorus content in manganese-iron alloys, manganese-silicon alloys, manganese-iron nitrides, and metallic manganese, with a measurement range (mass fraction): 0.0030% to 0.450%. Method II: Bismuth phosphomolybdenum blue spectrophotometry, applicable to the determination of phosphorus content in manganese-iron alloys, manganese-silicon alloys, manganese-iron nitrides, and metallic manganese, with a measurement range (mass fraction): 0.0030% to 0.650%.
