Abstract
This standard specifies the analytical method for determining the contents of carbon, silicon, manganese, phosphorus, sulfur, chromium, nickel, molybdenum, aluminum, copper, tungsten, titanium, niobium, vanadium, cobalt, boron, arsenic, tin, and lead in stainless steel using spark discharge atomic emission spectrometry. This standard is applicable to the determination of the contents of carbon, silicon, manganese, phosphorus, sulfur, chromium, nickel, molybdenum, aluminum, copper, tungsten, titanium, niobium, vanadium, cobalt, boron, arsenic, tin, and lead in stainless steel. The measurement ranges for each element are shown in Table 1.
