This standard specifies two methods for determining the performance of reinforced and non-reinforced rubber or plastic hoses when bent to a specified bending radius. Method A is suitable for reinforced and non-reinforced hoses with an inner diameter of less than 80 mm. This method also provides a method for measuring the stress required to achieve the specified bending radius under a specified internal pressure. Method B determines the bending performance, including the stress required for bending, at a range of temperatures from -60°C to +200°C. The characteristics of the device limit its applicability to small-diameter reinforced and non-reinforced hoses, i.e., those with an inner diameter of less than 12.5 mm.
