GB/T 17215.211-2021 Active

This part of GB/T 17215.2 specifies the general mechanical and electrical requirements and test conditions applicable to AC energy meters (hereinafter referred to as "meters"), as well as requirements for their functions and markings, requirements for climatic and electromagnetic environments and test conditions, resistance to external influences tests and test conditions, and embedded software requirements.
Note 1: For other general requirements of meters (such as safety, reliability, etc.), please refer to the relevant sections of GB/T 17215.3 (all parts) and GB/T 17215.9 (all parts). Specific accuracy requirements and other special requirements for meters of different accuracy grades are specified in the relevant provisions of GB/T 17215.3 (all parts).
This part applies to new-manufactured electrical measuring equipment used for measuring and controlling electric energy in 50 Hz or 60 Hz power grids with a voltage not exceeding 600 V. All special functional units of the meter, except for its electric energy measurement function, can be integrated within the meter case or constitute a separate enclosure.
Note 2: The above-mentioned voltage is the line-to-line voltage derived from the nominal voltage, as specified in Table 7 of IEC 62052-31:2015.
If the meter has functions other than measuring active and reactive energy, such as:
——Measuring voltage amplitude, current amplitude, power, frequency, power factor (or sinφ), etc.;
——Measuring power quality parameters;
——Measuring other forms of energy such as water, gas, steam, heat, etc.;
——Load control function;
——Data communication interface.
If these functions are encapsulated within the meter case, the relevant standards may apply to these functional requirements, but these functions are not within the scope of this part.
