GB 5009.267-2020 The National Standard of Food Safety: Determination of Iodine in Foods
Abstract
This standard specifies the determination methods for iodine content in food.
Method I: Inductively Coupled Plasma Mass Spectrometry is suitable for the determination of iodine in food.
Method II: Redox Titration is suitable for the determination of iodine in algae and their products.
Method III: Arsenic-Cerium Catalytic Spectrophotometry is suitable for the determination of iodine in grains, vegetables, fruits, legumes and their products, milk and its products, meat, fish, and egg products.
Method IV: Gas Chromatography is suitable for the determination of iodine as a nutritional fortifier in infant and toddler formula foods and dairy products (except for infant formula foods for special medical purposes and formula foods for special medical purposes).
