GB/T 20674.2-2020 Plastics pipes and fittings—Equipment for fusion jointing polyethylene systems—Part 2:Electrofusion
Abstract
This part of GB/T 20674 specifies the terms and definitions, classification, requirements, test methods, random documents, maintenance, inspection rules, marking, packaging, transportation, and storage for electrofusion welding equipment (hereinafter referred to as "electrofusion welding machines") for polyethylene (PE) piping systems.
This part, together with other parts of GB/T 20674, is applicable to electrofusion welding equipment for polyethylene pipes and fittings used for gas/water supply. Polyethylene pipes and fittings for gas supply comply with the requirements of GB/T 15558 (all parts), and pipes and fittings for drinking water and general pressure water supply comply with the requirements of GB/T 13663 (all parts).
This part is applicable to electrofusion welding machines controlled by voltage or current. The electrofusion welding machines are suitable for fittings heated by resistance wires.
Electrofusion welding machines are divided into three input voltage levels: P1 level voltage (SVLV, not more than 50 V); P2 level voltage (LV, greater than 50 V and not more than 250 V); P3 level voltage (HV, greater than 250 V and not more than 400 V).
The normal operating temperature range of electrofusion welding machines is -10 ℃ to +40 ℃.
