This document provides guidance for the following tasks:
—— Evaluating measurement uncertainty using the precision results of GB/T 6379.2;
—— Evaluating measurement uncertainty using the intermediate precision results of GB/T 6379.3;
—— Comparing the uncertainty evaluation results obtained by the method in this document with those obtained by the uncertainty propagation law method (GUM method) (see Chapter 14).
This document is applicable to the evaluation of uncertainty of results in all measurement and testing fields.
This document is not applicable to situations where there is no method reproducibility or intermediate precision, and only repeatability exists.
This document assumes that the identified and non-negligible system effects have been corrected, either by numerical correction of the measurement method or by eliminating the system effects through investigation.
This document proposes an effective method for uncertainty evaluation, but other suitable evaluation methods can also be used.
The measurement results, methods, and processes mentioned in this document can generally be understood as test results, methods, and processes.
