Abstract
This standard specifies the test method for measuring the fracture toughness of fine ceramic materials at room temperature using the pre-cracked beam method. This standard is applicable to homogeneous bulk ceramics and ceramic composites, but it is not applicable to ceramic composites containing continuous fiber reinforcement.
This standard is applicable to material research, quality supervision, performance evaluation, material reliability, and fatigue parameter design, etc.
