GB/T 4214.9-2021 Active

The general requirements of the GB/T 4214 series of standards apply to household and similar-purpose appliances powered by the grid or batteries, including their accessories and components.
Unless otherwise specified in the special requirements of the GB/T 4214 series of standards, similar-purpose use can be understood as use under conditions similar to those in the home environment, such as in small hotels, cafes, tea rooms, hotels, barber shops, laundries, etc.
Substitution:
This part of GB/T 4214 applies to household and similar-purpose electric fans (hereinafter referred to as fans) powered by AC or DC, and their accessories and components.
The motor, impeller, and housing (if any) constitute a separate device.
This part applies to:
—— Traditional fans;
—— Table fans;
—— Floor fans;
—— Ceiling fans;
—— Bladeless fans;
—— Wall fans;
—— Ceiling fans;
—— Paging fans;
—— Pillar fans;
—— Ventilation fans and partition ventilation fans;
—— Table-top fans.
This part does not apply to:
—— Fans that are part of a ventilation system;
—— Fans specifically designed for industrial use;
—— Fans that are components of appliances (such as cooling fans);
—— Fans with additional functions (such as heating and humidification).
The limitations of the test methods described in this part are described in Chapter 1 of GB/T 4214.1-2017.
