This document specifies the requirements and test methods for batteries and battery chargers intended for electric wheelchairs. This document applies to lead-acid batteries and chargers intended for lead-acid batteries. The requirements for chargers apply to a rated input voltage of no more than 250 V AC and a nominal output voltage of no more than 36 V DC.
