GB/T 21205-2022 Rotating electrical machines—Repair,overhaul and reclamation

Scope

This document specifies the necessary procedures for the repair, overhaul, and restoration of all types and sizes of rotating electric motors covered by the IEC 60034 series. This document establishes a common industry standard that covers all aspects of comprehensive motor repair. The scope of work depends on the motor type, rated values, environmental conditions, and the reliability and safety of the equipment. It includes:
—— Identifying the cause of the failure, if necessary;
—— Determining the scope of repair as appropriately as possible;
—— Defining the modified performance, operating requirements, and environmental conditions, if required;
—— Reviewing the original design and updating the design specifications, if required;
—— Inspecting the quality and performance of the repaired motor to maintain or improve the rated energy efficiency;
—— Ensuring that environmental factors are taken into account.
This document does not replace the requirements specified in IEC 60079-19 or other requirements for the repair or overhaul of motors used in explosive environments.
The technical requirements for motors used in special applications such as hermetic motors, submersible motors, nuclear energy applications, hydrogen-cooled motors, military motors, aeronautical motors, and traction motors are determined through consultation between the service unit and the user.
This document does not replace the instructions and recommendations of the original motor manufacturer.
Redesign and performance changes requiring the involvement of motor designers are beyond the scope of this document.
