Scope

This document specifies the basic performance and safety requirements for standalone products used with emergency lighting systems with a power supply voltage of no more than 1,000 V, as well as components integrated into automatic testing systems. This document also stipulates the functional requirements for complete automatic testing systems of emergency lighting systems. This document applies to testing systems that include self-contained emergency lighting fixtures or central batteries associated with emergency lighting fixtures. Note: Manual testing equipment that relies on manual initialization and/or visual inspection of lamp status is not within the scope of this document.
