Scope
This document, referring to ISO 230-1 and ISO 230-4, specifies the inspection of the motion accuracy of machining centers, involving the spindle speed, feed rate, and the accuracy of the trajectory generated by the simultaneous movement of two or more NC (numerical control) linear axes and/or rotary axes. This document is applicable to machining centers with three linear axes (X, Y, and Z) and an additional one or two rotary axes (A, B, or C). It does not cover inspections related to other motions. This document only addresses the inspection of the motion accuracy of machine tools, not the operational inspection of machine tools (such as vibration, abnormal noise, etc.), which are typically inspected separately. When the structure, components, and motion of NC milling machines and boring machines comply with the inspections in this document, with the consent of the manufacturer/supplier and the user, the inspections in this document are also applicable, in whole or in part, to such machine tools.
