Scope

This part of GB/T 20651 specifies the safety requirements and protective measures for compression-ignition engines and their basic auxiliary equipment. This part does not include the special requirements necessary for potentially explosive environments. This part applies to compression-ignition engines used on land, underground, and water (hereinafter referred to as "engines"). This part does not apply to aero-engines. The engines described in this part refer to the prime movers up to the power output end.
