Scope

This standard specifies the terms and definitions of boiler air pollutant emission standards, air pollutant emission control requirements, pollutant monitoring requirements, compliance determination, and implementation and supervision. This standard applies to the management of air pollutant emissions from boilers within the administrative area of Shanxi Province, as well as the environmental impact assessments, environmental protection facility design, and completion environmental protection acceptance of new, modified, and expanded boiler projects, and the management of air pollutant emissions after their commissioning. This standard applies to single-fueled steam boilers with an output of 65t/h or less that use coal as fuel, as well as non-power generation steam boilers with an output of more than 65t/h; steam boilers of all capacities that use fuel oil, natural gas, or biomass as fuel (including power generation); and hot water boilers and organic heat carrier boilers of all capacities. This standard does not apply to boilers that use municipal solid waste or hazardous waste as fuel.
