Scope
This standard specifies the determination methods for the migration and release of N-nitrosamine compounds and N-nitrosamine precursors in food contact materials and products.
Part 1 of this standard applies to the determination of the migration and release of N-dimethylnitrosamine, N-nitro-N-methylethylamine, N-nitrodiethylamine, N-nitrodiisopropylamine, N-nitrodi-propylamine, N-nitrodi-butylamine, N-nitropyridine, N-nitropyrrolidine, N-nitromorphone, N-nitro-N-ethylaniline, N-nitro-N-methylaniline, N-nitrodi-nonylamine, N-nitrodicyclohexylamine, and N-nitrobiphenylamine in rubber materials and products used in food contact, as well as the determination of the migration of the above-mentioned 15 N-nitrosamine compounds in rubber materials and products used in food contact.
Part 2 of this standard applies to the determination of the release of the above-mentioned 15 N-nitrosamine compounds in pacifiers, as well as the determination of the release of the above-mentioned 15 N-nitrosamine precursors in pacifiers.
