Scope

This document specifies the characteristics and performance of auxiliary equipment for measuring radio-frequency interference voltage and interference current in the frequency range of 9 kHz to 1 GHz. Note: According to IEC Guide 107, CISPR 16-1-2 is the basic electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) standard used by IEC product committees. As stated in IEC Guide 107, it is the responsibility of product committees to determine the applicability of EMC standards. CISPR and its technical committees (corresponding to SAC/TC 79 and its subcommittees in China) cooperate with these product committees in assessing the value of specific tests for their particular products. The aforementioned product committees correspond to the relevant product technical committees in China. This document includes specifications for the following measurement auxiliary equipment: artificial power networks (AMN), current probes, voltage probes, and current injection coupling units. All requirements of this document must be met at all measurement frequencies within the CISPR specified range of the measurement equipment, as well as at all levels of radio-frequency interference voltage and interference current. Methods for measuring radio-frequency interference and immunity are described in CISPR 16-2 (all parts). More detailed information on radio-frequency interference is provided in CISPR/TR 16-3. Uncertainty, statistics, and limit modeling are discussed in CISPR 16-4 (all parts).
