Scope

This document provides the insulation coordination procedures and rules for AC filters (including parallel capacitors) and DC filters used in high-voltage DC transmission systems, as well as the lightning arrester arrangement and stress characteristics.
This document is applicable to AC and DC filters in high-voltage DC transmission systems. It provides guidance for determining the operating voltage and withstand voltage of AC and DC filters, as well as the selection of lightning arresters. It does not address requirements for personal safety.
