GB/T 16895.32-2021 Low voltage electrical installations—Part 7-712:Requirements for special installations or locations—Solar photovoltaic (PV) power supply systems
Basic Information
Scope
This part of GB/T 16895 applies to electrical equipment of PV systems that supply power to all or part of the electrical devices.
Like any other equipment, the equipment in PV systems only involves its selection and application in the system.
A PV system starts from a single PV component provided by the manufacturer or a group of PV components connected in series by cables, and ends at the user's device or the municipal power supply point (public connection point).
The requirements of this part apply to:
——PV systems not connected to the public distribution system;
——PV systems connected to the public distribution system in parallel;
——PV systems used as an alternative to the public distribution system;
——Appropriate combinations of the above.
This part does not include specific installation requirements for battery packs or other energy storage devices.
Note 1: Additional requirements for PV systems with battery storage on the DC side are under consideration.
Note 2: This part includes protection requirements for PV arrays due to the use of battery packs in PV systems.
Additional requirements for relevant voltage and current ratings of DC-DC converter systems and for switches and protective devices are under consideration.
In addition to the hazards caused by traditional AC power devices, DC systems, especially PV arrays, also pose some hazards. These include the generation and maintenance of arcs under conditions of current lower than normal operating current. The purpose of this part is to address the design safety requirements raised by the characteristics of PV systems.
However, for the safety requirements of grid-connected PV systems, the focus mainly relies on power conversion equipment (PCE) related to PV arrays and compliant with the requirements of IEC 62109-1 and IEC 62109-2.
