Scope

This document describes the principles, reagents and materials, instrumentation, experimental procedures, result calculation and presentation, and precision of the Argyrodisc method, the coulometric titration method, the infrared spectroscopy method, and the high-temperature combustion neutralization method for determining the total sulfur in coal. In arbitration analysis, the Argyrodisc method is used.
This document is applicable to brown coal, bituminous coal, anthracite, coke, and dried samples of water-coal slurry.
