Scope

1.0.1 To ensure the quality and safety of steel structure projects, implement policies on resource and energy conservation and rational utilization, protect the ecological environment, guarantee the safety of people's lives and property and their physical health, prevent and reduce steel structure project accidents, and improve the level of green development of steel structure projects, these specifications are formulated. 1.0.2 Except for the following projects, steel structure projects must comply with these specifications: 1 Highway and railway bridges; 2 Pressure vessels, chemical containers, and gas pipelines; 3 Water conservancy, hydraulic, water transport, and navigation projects. 1.0.3 The construction of steel structure projects shall follow the following principles: 1 Meet the requirements of applicability, economy, and durability; 2 Improve the quality of project construction and the level of operation and maintenance; 3 Comply with national policies on energy conservation, environmental protection, disaster prevention and mitigation, and emergency management; 4 Conform to the development direction of construction technology and encourage the application of new technologies.
