Scope

This part specifies the technical requirements and acceptance standards for the magnetic particle inspection of welds in structural and mechanical modules of nuclear power plants using the continuous method. This part is applicable to the detection of surface and near-surface defects in welds made of ferromagnetic materials in the manufacturing and installation processes of structural and mechanical modules of nuclear power plants. This part is also applicable to the acceptance of magnetic particle inspection of welds in static load modules.
