Scope

This document is applicable to the performance testing of dry vacuum cleaners used in homes and similar environments.
The purpose of this document is to specify the basic performance parameters of dry vacuum cleaners that users are concerned about and describe the methods of testing these parameters.
Note 1: Due to the influence of environmental conditions, time changes, testing materials, and operating levels, when conducting comparative tests on multiple appliances, most testing methods will yield more reliable results when the tests are conducted by the same operators in the same laboratory at the same time.
Note 2: This document is not applicable to cordless vacuum cleaners.
