Scope

This document specifies the outline of the test method for quantitatively determining the level of non-metallic inclusions using automatic image analysis according to GB/T 10561, including the equipment, sampling, sample preparation, calibration, steps, inclusion classification and level calculation, sample reporting, accuracy and deviation. This document is applicable to the evaluation of inclusion levels in steel. The classification of inclusions in this document is based on their light reflectivity, geometric shape, width, length, quantity, and diameter, and does not involve the composition of the inclusions.
