GB/T 26641-2021 Non-destructive testing—Magnetic memory testing—General requirements
Basic Information
Scope
This document specifies the terms and definitions for non-destructive testing (NDT) of metal magnetic memory (MMM) technology, as well as the general technical requirements for applying this method. The NDT techniques specified in this document have the following purposes: -- Determine the non-homogeneity of the magnetomechanical state of ferromagnetic objects, detect the degree of stress concentration caused by defects and the boundaries of inhomogeneous metal microstructures; -- Identify locations with surface magnetic field distortions for further microstructural analysis and/or NDT and evaluation; -- Diagnose early damage to inspected objects and evaluate their structural lifespan; -- Rapidly classify new and used inspection objects based on magnetic heterogeneity for further testing; -- Combining magnetic memory with other NDT methods or technologies (ultrasonic testing, X-ray testing, etc.) can quickly detect the location of the most likely defects, thereby improving NDT efficiency; -- Used for quality control of various welding joints and their implementation (including friction welding and spot welding). For specific applications, see ISO 24497.
