Scope

This part of GB/T 20720 describes the manufacturing operation management (Level 3) and its activities, as well as the interface content and related transactions within and between Levels 3 and 4. This description enables integration between the manufacturing operation and control domains (Levels 3, 2, and 1) and the enterprise domain (Level 4). It briefly explains the interface content between Levels 3 and 2. The aim is to enhance the uniformity and consistency of interface terminology, reduce the risks, costs, and errors associated with implementing these interfaces, and reduce the workload associated with implementing new products. The purpose is to enable interoperability and easy integration between enterprise systems and control systems. This part applies to: a) introducing the manufacturing enterprise domain and the manufacturing operation and control domain; b) defining three-level models: functional-level model, role-based device-level model, and physical asset-level model; c) listing the functions related to the interface between manufacturing operation and control functions and enterprise functions; d) describing the information shared between manufacturing operation and control functions and enterprise functions.
