GB/T 44729-2024 Financial services—Global unique transaction identifier(UTI)
Basic Information
Scope
This document specifies the elements included in the coding mechanism for uniquely identifying a financial transaction, provided that the entities or participants involved in the transaction agree to it and it is applicable.
This document does not stipulate the allocation time of the parties generating the Unique Transaction Identifier (UTI), nor does it include the establishment of data records for UTIs themselves, so as not to restrict the relevant use of UTIs.
Note: The Committee on Payments and Market Infrastructures (CPMI) and the International Organization of Securities Commissions (IOSCO) stipulate that UTIs are applicable to any transactions classified as "over-the-counter derivatives" and requiring the use of UTIs for reporting purposes. Here, "over-the-counter derivatives" refer to transactions involving swaps, forward contracts, non-standardized option contracts, and their combinations, excluding futures transactions. According to the "Futures and Derivatives Law of the People's Republic of China", derivatives specifically refer to over-the-counter derivatives.
