The appliances specified in this document are applicable to air conditioners, heat pumps, and refrigeration equipment equipped with open-type compressors or motor-compressors. The maximum rated voltage of single-phase appliances shall not exceed 300 V, and the rated voltage of other appliances shall not exceed 600 V.
This document is also applicable to appliances that are not intended for general household use but may still pose a danger to the public, such as appliances intended for use by professionals in stores, light industry, and farms.
The aforementioned appliances may consist of components manufactured by one or more factories. If multiple components are provided and these individual components are intended to be used together, the technical requirements of this document shall be based on the use of the assembled components.
Note 101: In this document, "appliances" refer to equipment used to recover and/or reclaim refrigerants.
