GB/T 32350.1-2025 Railway applications—Insulation coordination—Part 1:Basic requirements—Clearances and creepage distances for all electrical and electronic equipment
Abstract
This document specifies the insulation coordination in rail transit applications, applicable to signal equipment, locomotive and vehicle equipment, and ground equipment.
Insulation coordination refers to the selection, dimensioning, and interrelationships of insulation between equipment and within equipment components. When determining insulation dimensions, electrical stress and environmental conditions are taken into account. When electrical stress and environmental conditions are the same, the determined insulation dimensions are also the same.
The purpose of insulation coordination is to avoid unnecessarily excessive insulation dimensions.
This document specifies:
—— The electrical clearance and creepage distance requirements of equipment;
—— The general requirements for insulation coordination tests.
The term "equipment" in the above refers to the "parts" in 3.3, which can apply to systems, subsystems, equipment, parts of equipment, or a physical implementation of equipotential lines.
This document does not cover:
—— Insulation distances through solids or liquids;
—— Insulation distances through gases other than air;
—— Insulation distances through air under non-standard atmospheric pressure;
—— Equipment used under extreme conditions.
