Abstract
This document specifies the manufacturing, inspection, and acceptance requirements for steel pressure vessels.
This document applies to the manufacturing, inspection, and acceptance of steel pressure vessels, as well as composite plate pressure vessels, lined pressure vessels, and pressure vessels with non-alloy steel, low-alloy steel, or high-alloy steel base layers.
The pressure vessel structures covered by this document include single-layer welded pressure vessels (including controlled cylinders), forged-welded pressure vessels, nested pressure vessels, multi-layer wrapped pressure vessels (including multi-layer cylinder section wrapping and multi-layer integral wrapping), and steel strip cross-wound pressure vessels.
