GB/T 12690.8-2021 Chemical analysis methods for non-rare earth impurities of rare earth metals and their oxides—Part 8:Determination of sodium content
Abstract
This document specifies the method for determining the sodium content in rare earth metals and their oxides.
This document is applicable to the determination of sodium content in rare earth metals and their oxides, including flame atomic absorption spectrometry (Method 1), inductively coupled plasma emission spectrometry (Method 2), and inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry (Method 3). The determination range (mass fraction) of flame atomic absorption spectrometry is 0.0005% to 0.025%; the determination range (mass fraction) of inductively coupled plasma emission spectrometry is 0.010% to 0.20%; and the determination range (mass fraction) of inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry is 0.0005% to 0.025%.
When the analysis ranges of the three methods in this document overlap, Method 1 shall be the preferred arbitration method.
